Hi. I’m Kari, and I want to thank you for visiting my blog. I’m a wife (he is truly my BETTER half), a mom to two beautiful girls…. and I LOVE to cook. I grew up in Kenya and moved to the US right after high school. Looking back on my childhood, I can remember the first little cookbooks my mom bought my sisters and I, instantly beginning my sense of adventure with food. Needless to say, we put her through many a flopped recipe (let’s just say… cake needs a raising agent… LOL). I hope to one day pass along this great love for cooking to my girls.
I am not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination, but I cook straight from my heart, and I possess a sense of curiosity that is constantly driving me to try something new. Few things in life make me happier than sitting around a table with family and friends, enjoying a great meal. I truly believe that my love for cooking and hospitality is a gift God gave me to share with those around me. Along with my recipes, I share reflections on what I am learning as I grow in my walk with God. I share passages that have touched me, in the hopes that they will encourage you as well. Join me on my journey through life, and food.
