Orange Cranberry Sauce

Orange cranberry sauce is the perfect compliment to your Thanksgiving meal. You will love the orange twist, and it all comes together in just a few minutes! The sauce can be made a day or two ahead.
Ingredients
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 5 oranges)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon (or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon)
Instructions
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, and reduce heat to medium.
  2. Stirring occasionally, cook until the cranberries start to soften, and the skin on them starts to pop. This takes about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate until ready to use.
